“My idea is focused on alternative ways to travel instead of using fossil fuels: before you drive consider using a bicycle instead; reduce your carbon footprint by flying less; explore the city by taking more walks; and for road trips, maybe take the bus instead of a car. I then used the idea of travelling musical bands to translate the issues into a language that young people can relate to.”

Moon Mokgoro is a Johannesburg-based multi-disciplinary artist and student. When she isn’t spending her days solving mathematical equations and exploring the world of physics, she’s creating art and capturing photographs of the pieces of the world that catch her eye. She is also the founder of the Protest Poster Project, a non-profit organisation that designs posters for and captures protests. Art, photography, and physics. In her 22 years, Moon has fallen deeply in love with these vastly different fields.
