Presenting the TEDxJohannesburg Countdown Climate Collection

Ithateng Mokgoro

TED and Fine Acts hand-picked us, TEDxJohannesburg, and nine other TEDx events worldwide to run unique public art activations on climate change. We invited seven visual artists (plus one copywriter) to 48-hour creative sessions to develop visual artwork on climate change, focusing on hope and solutions. The sessions, or SPRINTS, ran from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon on 22-24 October 2021. The works are now proudly on display here on this page and elsewhere on this website. The goal is to share these works under an open license so that activists and nonprofits worldwide can use them in campaigns.

Ithateng Mokgoro is a versatile, multi-disciplinary creative thinker. He has been co-curator of various TEDx events since 2010, including TEDxJohannesburg.
