What’s popcorn got to do with the green transition?

Signe Frese

In business, we tend to associate the term “green transition companies” with high-tech platforms like electric cars and solar energy. Companies that supply everyday products — the supermarket sector for example — don’t often come to mind. But, small changes in our daily habits, combined with the leverage that the business sector enjoys, can play an important role in getting us to make environmentally sustainable changes in our daily lives. In this insightful talk, Signe Frese illustrates how what may seem like a small and insignificant product, like popcorn, can influence our collective ability to hand over a healthier and more prosperous planet to future generations.

Singne is CSR Executive director of the largest grocery chain in Denmark, where she develops and executes the company’s sustainable development strategy.
