What Now?
On Friday, 17 December 2021, 11 am – 1 pm, we live-streamed highlights from TEDWomen 2021.
In a chilled-out, laid-back December vibe, we glanced back to the TED stage in Palm Springs, California, USA, from where our selection of speakers and performers dazzled and delighted with ideas spanning the globe.
They drew from across cultures and disciplines to answer questions on what comes now after the realities of a global pandemic have altered nearly everything about how we live and work.
They opened the aperture on everything from girls’ education in Afghanistan to thinking like an epidemiologist and advancing ally-ship.
They lifted the veil on mental health and family structures and shared ideas on uplifting personal and collective dignity.
They weighed in on the burgeoning renaissance around work-life and livelihood and on what’s missing in the conversation.
They asked what now for the Earth? And how do we balance the urgency of the climate crisis while still dreaming of a bright future?
They dove headfirst into creativity, helping us see the silver lining, embrace artistry and boldly chart out the world in which we want to live.
And they explored the biggest question of all — What now for the future? — and encouraged us to imagine another world and fight for it.
